What's Inside

The first 5 of 14 steps

  1. The tenancy is periodic, not a running fixed term.A fixed term ends on its end date (s.15).
  2. Your reason is on the list.Own or relative use, firm sale with the buyer's written request, demolition, major renovations, non-residential use, student housing (AR 211/2004 s.2(2)); employee (s.11) or condo conversion (s.12).
  3. The reason is real and you will act on it.Not using the unit for it within a reasonable time is an offence, up to $5,000 (ss.6(2), 60).
  4. The notice is not a response to a complaint.Retaliation is prohibited (s.25).
