What's Inside

The first 5 of 10 steps

  1. Check every name and the unit address the day you receive it.An order may not be enforceable if they are wrong. A correction on Form RTB-6 is free, with no time limit.
  2. Serve a copy on each person named in the order. The RTB does not serve or enforce orders for you.
  3. Record the method and the date each tenant is deemed to receive it.
  4. Wait 2 days after receipt for a review application (RTA s.80).If the RTB decides to review, wait until the review is complete before any further step.
  5. Contact an authorized court bailiff first.Use only a firm under contract with the Ministry of Attorney General. Their availability and deposit can set your timeline more than the court paperwork does.
