What's Inside
The first 5 of 12 steps
- Photograph every page and note the date and how you received it.
- Work out your deadline.Treat the day you found the notice as day zero. Your last day to pay in full or file a dispute is 5 days later.
- It is on Form RTB-30, signed and dated by the landlord, with the rental unit address, the effective date and the reason.
- Compare the amount on the notice to your own records of what you paid.
- For utilities: your agreement must require you to pay them to the landlord, and the bills must have been unpaid more than 30 days after a written demand.
