BC Tenant Repair Request Checklist

1. Request the repair in writing: email, letter or text. Describe it, when it started and how it affects you.
2. Give a reasonable time to fix it, and keep a copy.
3. Already asked verbally?Send a written follow-up today that refers to those conversations by date.
4. Allow entry after a valid 24-hour written notice.
5. Emergency: major leaks, blocked water or sewer pipes or fixtures, primary heating, access locks or electrical, when urgent and needed for health, safety or the property.
