- Note the day the tenancy ended.
- Note the day you received the forwarding address in writing.If it came by mail, it may be treated as received some days after it was sent. Keep the envelope or email.
- Take the later of the two dates and add 15 days.If the last day is a Sunday or holiday, treat that day as your deadline anyway.
- Return the deposit in full, with any interest; or
- Get the tenant's written agreement to keep a specific amount, and return the rest; or
