BC Rental Scam Checklist

1. Compare the rent with similar units.Too low is the first warning sign (RCMP).
2. Reverse-search every photo.Same pictures under another address = scam.
3. Look for the same unit listed elsewhere.Duplicate posts are a common tactic.
4. Meet them in person at the unit.A landlord who won't meet is a red flag.
5. Ask for photo ID; match it to the agreement.Refusal is a red flag (RCMP).
